The first few trips were made by Mr Cantu himself and whatever he could haul with his pickup and trailer. After building clientele, he began ordering truck loads and distributing his products from a wholesale warehouse. In 2008, Mr & Mrs Cantu decided to relocate their family to the Central Texas Area and founded Cantu Imports. The business was a continuation of their previous business, this time serving homeowners and well as commercial businesses as a retail company. Mr Cantu and his wife shared a lot with an existing nursery and focused only on the sale of imported pottery. After a year, Cantu Imports acquired the nursery and expanded their products and services they offered to include not only pottery, but also trees, palm trees, native perennials and shrubs, cacti and succulents, as well as concrete statuary and decor. 

Today, Cantu Nursery & Landscape aims to provide customers with all the necessary components to create and renovate landscape designs on commercial and residential properties in Austin and all surrounding cities. They offer a unique array of plants and landscaping designs which enables them to provide their customers with an all-inclusive garden retail and landscape service.
